Rain - what is that?

February has been a very strange month for our weather here in Nelson. We started off with moderate amounts of snow which then turned into just hard packed ice which was not very nice at all really. Finally the last week in the month we had 60 cm of snow in just 3 days at the ski hill which made for very favourable skiing and snowboarding. However, in town today we had the first rain we had seen since mid November.

Many folks this month have been asking for more photos of us so we have included some from this weekend at the ski hill. This is at the top of the Summit lift at Whitewater around 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
Here is Shaun at the top of the Summit lift with the Selkirk Mountains behind him. Rachael on her snowboard.

Rachael is almost finished her BC Dietitian registration training hurrah. So really all we have been doing is working during the week and ski / snowboarding at the weekends what could be better?

The rest of the family are happy and well and seen here enjoying some tuna water.
